Trek The Track 2012
In 2012 we went to one state - South Australia. We had an aim of riding and driving Goog's Track, and a general theme of getting in touch with some basic elements. To this end we saw the salt of Lake Gairdner, the orange sand of Goog's Track, the white sand of the beaches around Ceduna and Streaky Bay and the red rock and dirt of the Gawler Ranges.
We had 5 riders on varying bikes; two BMWs, a Yamaha Tenere, a Suzuki DZR 400 and a very reliale Honda. Three support vehicles came along: a Pajero, a Hilux and a Colarado. We also, once on the track proper, pulled two trailers. The 'Chuck Wagon' camping and supplies trailer and the 'tricky trailer'; a heavy-duty motorbike trailer.
